Sunset Sanctuary – Find Peace in Our Beautiful Memorial Garden
Sunset Sanctuary is a conservation project that is on- going and a combination of a cremation resting site which includes a long term website for each sponsored site or tree. Why do we start with a prairie grass and wildflower meadow?
The benefits of a wild flower meadow are extremely valuable habitats providing floral resources, nesting sites and a protected environment for hundreds of bee species , moths and other insects. Prairie grasses are the basis for soil restoration. They provide rare native habitat for birds, butterflies and other small animals. They require little maintenance and are long lasting and do not require fertilizers. The restoration of prairie grass meadows are a huge boost to our declining eco system.
According to the National Geographic wildflowers play a critical role in the insect food chain. They are indicators of the health of these eco systems. Wild flowers provide food for insects and butterflies and bees that are crucial to plant growth. With over 15 acres of wildflower meadows already planted Sunset Sanctuary is dedicated to our eco system. We have over 70 more acres to go in restoring the prairies thru the sponsorship of our trees in a natural and affordable resting memorial garden and forest.
